Kyocera presents its water neutralisation solutions at ARABLAB LIVE 2025
KYOCERA Fineceramics Europe GmbH will be showcasing technologies for environmentally friendly wastewater treatment at the trade fair for the laboratory and analytics industry in Dubai from 23rd to 25th September.
- Fine Ceramic Components
Kyoto/Esslingen − Kyocera will be presenting its water neutralisation solutions at ARABLAB LIVE 2025 in Dubai, UAE. These are suitable for high-capacity applications, such as in municipalities, clinics or industrial plants, as well as for individual workstations in laboratories or workshops. On site the company will demonstrate how wastewater can be treated in an environmentally friendly manner, underscoring its global commitment to sustainability.
Live demonstration on site
At ARABLAB LIVE 2025, the company will demonstrate how water neutralisation works at its stand. The focus will be on a neutralisation system that can neutralise water to a pH value of 7 by adding acid and lye. These devices are deliverable with capacities of up to 3,600 litres per hour.

FRIDURIT fume scrubbers: reliable cleaning of acidic air
Kyocera will also be exhibiting its FRIDURIT fume scrubbers at the trade fair. These achieve particularly high separation efficiencies of up to 97 percent for acidic air. Therefore, they use a sophisticated process in which the contaminated air is passed through a chamber containing finely atomised washing liquid. This liquid mist mixes perfectly with the acid components in the air, binds them and then separates them into larger droplets. In this way, a FRIDURIT fume scrubber can clean up to 1,800 cubic metres of fumes per hour.

Presentation by Matthias Koch on Stage 3 (Lab Innovations)
A special highlight of this year's conference programme is the presentation “Water neutralisation, not only for Laboratories “ by Matthias Koch, Sales Expert at Kyocera (23rd September 2025, 3:40-4:00 p.m., Stage 3 Lab Innovations). During the presentation, Matthias Koch will explain how neutralization works and its possible applications, using the practical example of afume scrubber and the handling of contaminated water.
Water neutralisation in application
The water neutralisation solutions have been continuously developed for over 30 years – initially at the former Friatec GmbH (formerly AG) and, following the takeover of the relevant business division in 2019, by the current KYOCERA Fineceramics Europe GmbH. The water neutralisation solutions are used worldwide in numerous industrial sectors: from electroplating and metal processing, pharmaceutical production and laboratory technology to educational institutions, workshops and electromobility, for example in the safe handling of battery acids. In addition, schools and universities with laboratories for teaching purposes, commercial kitchens, breweries and other beverage producers, paper mills, dairies, slaughterhouses, workshops and mining institutions also benefit from the individually scalable solutions. These help to comply with environmental regulations, conserve resources and make processes more sustainable.
Wastewater must first be neutralised – usually to a pH value between 6.5 and 9 – before it can be discharged into the public sewer system or waterways or reused in an environmentally friendly manner within the company. Therefore, wastewater neutralisation is essential, particularly for industrial sectors with acidic and alkaline wastewater. The pH value is measured using a probe and adjusted by adding acid or lye to achieve a pH-neutral value. Kyocera's neutralisation solutions are suitable for treating water ranging from highly acidic solutions with a pH value of 1 to lyes with values of up to 14 pH and are based on fully automatic batch operation.
The company's services in this area include engineering and unit design by Kyocera's own teams, support with project planning, risk assessment and the preparation of individual certificates, unit construction, installation and commissioning, ongoing maintenance and much more.
